The European Space Agency's Sentinel-2 satellite passed over southern Saskatchewan and caught Buffalo Pound Lake carrying its distinctive emerald-teal color, this time in the middle of the growing season. This narrow reservoir in the glacier-carved Qu'Appelle Valley supplies drinking water to Moose Jaw and Regina — the algae-tinted water cuts a bright ribbon through a patchwork of lush green cropland stretching to the horizon.
