On 29 October 2025, Sentinel-2 captured the northern reach of the Welland Canal at Port Weller, where the shipping channel that carries freighters around Niagara Falls meets Lake Ontario. A pale sediment plume fans out from the canal mouth into the deep blue lake beside the breakwater.
