On 20 June 2026, Sentinel-2 looked down on the mouth of the Rio Doce at Regência, on the north coast of Espírito Santo. Just south of the village lies the Reserva Biológica de Comboios, a protected strip of beach where leatherback and loggerhead sea turtles come ashore to nest from September to March. Espírito Santo is the only place in the southwest Atlantic where leatherbacks nest regularly. This map edition outlines the reserve's official boundary in gold. No. 2 in the series Where the Turtles Meet.
